THE Embassy of the People's Republic of China (PRC) in the Philippines falsely claimed that 'Taiwan has been China's territory since ancient times' and 'The One-China Principle is a Universally Recognized Basic Norm Governing International Relations' on March 20 and 21, 2024, respectively.

The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines solemnly reiterates that modern, democratic Taiwan actively defends its democratic system, and respects human rights and the rule of law. Neither democratic Taiwan nor the autocratic PRC is subordinate to the other.
