MANILA, Philippines: Hot and humid with high chances of scattered rain showers may be expected in the country this Saturday as the easterlies become the dominant weather system, according to the state-run weather agency.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the northeast monsoon or amihan--which brings colder winds in most parts of Luzon--officially ended yesterday.
