In its February 2024 report titled "People and Planet: Addressing the Interlinked Challenges of Climate Change, Poverty, and Hunger in Asia and the Pacific", the Asian Development Bank, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, and United Nations Development Program sounded the alarm on the impacts of climate change — warning that more frequent and severe climate-related hazards will hinder social and economic progress.
