MITSUI O.S.K. Lines (MOL), a leading shipping company, and Rio Tinto, a global mining and metals leader, announced a strengthened partnership focused on safety, crew welfare and decarbonization of maritime transportation.
Building on their existing collaboration through the Designated Owners & Operators (DOO) program, which promotes safety and crew well-being in dry bulk shipping, MOL and Rio Tinto will now jointly explore ways to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from ocean freight.
