Giant-slayer Ruelle Canino shares lead in Battle of Women's Masters

WUNDERKIND Ruelle Canino continued her giant-slaying ways after she slew Woman International Master (WIM) Bernadette Galas in seizing a share of the lead after two rounds of the Philippine National Chess Championships dubbed 'The Battle of Women's Masters' Monday at the City Hall of Malolos, Bulacan.

It was a fitting follow-up to the 15-year-old Cagayan de Oro City-born lass' earthshaking opening-round triumph over defending champion WIM Marie Antoinette San Diego the day before that kept the former well perched at the helm.
