Intellectual property filings up 2.3% in 2023

COPYRIGHT, trademark, patent and design filings picked up in 2023 amid heightened awareness and more innovations from colleges and universities, the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) said on Monday.

A total of 49,832 applications were recorded last year, 2.5 percent higher than the 48,600 posted in 2022, the IPOPHL said in a statement.
