Schauffele grabs one-stroke lead at The Players

MIAMI: Xander Schauffele made seven birdies in a bogey-free third round to seize a one-stroke lead over reigning US Open champion Wyndham Clark at The Players Championship on Saturday (Sunday in Manila).

Reigning Olympic champion Schauffele fired a seven-under par 65 to stand on 17-under 199 through 54 holes at the $4.5 million US PGA Tour event on TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
