MANILA, Philippines: Maximum temperatures will be felt in the country in the coming days as the northeast monsoon or "amihan" continues to weaken, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Saturday.

Based on the three-day extended weather outlook, Pagasa said the easterlies will become the dominant weather system, which means that major cities like Baguio City, Legazpi and Metro Manila would be expected to record maximum temperatures, starting at noon until the afternoon.
