La Mesa watershed to have sanctuary park

ENVIRONMENTAL group Million Trees Foundation Inc. (MTFI) has partnered with Australia-based QBE Insurance Group to build a sanctuary park at the La Mesa watershed in Quezon City.

'This would also be a place where everyone — young and old — can reconnect with nature and rejuvenate the soul,' said former Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System administrator and MTFI chairman emeritus Reynaldo Velasco during the groundbreaking of the Green Sanctuary Park at the La Mesa watershed on Tuesday.
