Senate panel to Quiboloy: Show cause in 48 hrs vs arrest

MANILA, Philippines: The Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality has ordered Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to show cause within 48 hours why he should not be arrested and detained at the Senate premises.

The committee, headed by Sen. Ana Theresia 'Risa' Hontiveros, cited Quiboloy in contempt for snubbing the inquiry on the reported cases of large-scale human trafficking, rape, sexual abuse, violence and child abuse of the Kingdom Jesus Christ (KoJC), last Jan. 23, Feb. 19, and March 5, 2024.
