Health chief directs Philhealth to expand primary care benefits

MANILA, Philippines: Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa directed the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) to expand its primary care benefits.

The Department of Health (DoH) made the announcement on Tuesday, saying that through the Benefits Committee (Bencom), PhilHealth would expand care benefits under the current and ongoing nationwide Konsulta benefit package as requested by President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr. and Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.
