Magnitude 6.1 earthquake rocks Davao Oriental

MANILA, Philippines: A magnitude 6.1 earthquake took place late Friday afternoon in Davao Oriental, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The agency said the tremor occurred around 5:11 p.m. some 149 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso, also in the same province.
