ILOILO CITY: The clash between the Philippine Army's 301st Infantry Brigade (301IB) and the New People's Army rebels in San Joaquin, Iloilo on February 28 led to the recovery of weapons the NPA rebels snatched during the latter's raid of Maasin Police Station eight years ago.
The high-powered firearms seized from the encounter included four M16 rifles, an AK-47, magazines, bandoliers, backpacks, and various ammunition.
