The Philippine economy remained strong under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s administration despite the crises facing world economies, Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles said.

As he introduced Marcos as keynote speaker at the Lowy Institute in Melbourne Monday, Marles lauded the President for being "proactive" in addressing the Philippine economy post-pandemic, particularly in reducing inflation under his watch.
