MANILA, Philippines: Former Muntinlupa mayor Aldrin San Pedro was acquitted by the Sandiganbayan on Friday of violating Section 3(e) of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act for the prosecution's failure to prove that he favored a singular contractor in the procurement of three fire trucks for the city.
The decision was issued by the anti-graft court's Second Division and signed by Associate Justices Edgardo Caldona, division chairman Oscar Herrera Jr. and Arthur Malabaguio.
