BFP tells public: Be vigilant about fire incidents

MANILA, Philippines: The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on Friday urged households to raise their level of awareness to fire incidents as cases nationwide have gone up by 25.6 percent compared to the number reported the same period from January 1 to March 1 last year.

From January 1 to March 1, 2024, the BFP recorded 3,044 fire incidents nationwide, which is way higher than the 2,424 cases during the same period in 2023.
