Eala advances to doubles semis in Slovakia

Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala has secured a semifinals ticket in the women's doubles event of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) W50 tournament at the TC Empire tennis complex in Trnava, Slovakia.

Eala and her Turkish partner Zeynep Sönmez defeated the pair of Ilona-Georgiana Ghioroale of Romania and Aneta Kučmová of the Czech Republic in three sets, 6-7, 6-3, 10-5, in the women's doubles quarterfinals on Thursday.
