Northeast monsoon prevails in Luzon

Manila, Philippines: The northeast monsoon or 'amihan' is affecting Luzon while the trough of the low pressure area (LPA) spotted outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) will bring rain in Davao Region, the weather agency said on Thursday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that the LPA is not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone.
