MANILA, Philippines: The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Wednesday that the northeast monsoon or "amihan" is bringing isolated heavy rains over the Visayas, Luzon, including Metro Manila.
"We could expect this weather system to continue bringing colder nights and mornings until the second week of March," weather specialist Robert 'Obet' Badrina said. Meanwhile, the Pagasa forecaster said the trough of the low pressure area (LPA) spotted outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is affecting Caraga and Davao Region where overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms would be likely.
