FDA warns public vs use of uncertified medical device

MANILA, Philippines: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned all healthcare professionals and the general public not to buy and use an uncertified medical device used for collecting urine.

In advisory 2024-0408 issued on Tuesday, FDA said that through post-marketing surveillance, it verified that Medx Urine Bag is 'not notified and no corresponding Product Notification Certificate has been issued.'
