Unselfish play key in Gilas lopsided win over Taiwan

MANILA, Philippines: Tim Cone is happy to see the real Gilas Pilipinas he envisioned come out and play on Sunday night as evidenced by the national squad's lopsided 106-53 demolition of Taiwan before a big Filipino home crowd at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.

The American mentor noted that since Day 1 when the team began training camp at the Inspire Sports Camp in Calamba, Laguna over a week ago, he stressed the importance of being a defense-first type of team.
