Abolition of DBM's procurement service urged

SEN. Maria Josefa Imelda 'Imee' Marcos has called for the dissolution of the Procurement Service of the Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM), which she said had become the 'parking habits' of public funds of some government agencies.

Sen. Juan Edgardo 'Sonny' Angara, chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, on Wednesday led the public hearing on several measures to amend Republic Act 9184 or the 'Government Procurement Reform Act.'
