BUDGET Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said on Wednesday that the Philippines was on track to achieving its medium-term economic growth target despite subdued fiscal gains.
"The Philippines has become one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia. This has even exceeded the forecast of multilateral organizations ... despite the anticipated global uncertainties, this gives confidence that the Philippine economy can rise above the tides and still achieve the government's target over the medium term," Pangandaman said during The Manila Times Forum at the Sheraton Manila Hotel on Wednesday.
