AT least 336 pieces of fossilized giant clam shells worth P8.1 million were recovered in Palawan during a joint law enforcement operation led by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

The giant clams, locally known as taklobo or manlet, were recovered at the shoreline of Sebaring village in the town of Balabac, Palawan on February 14, the Coast Guard District Palawan (CGDPal) said in a statement issued on Monday, February 19.
