(UPDATE) SIX government troopers and three terrorists were killed after a fierce clash between army troops and members of the remnants of the Dawlah Islamiya-Maute (DI-Maute) extremist group in Lanao del Norte on Sunday, February 18.
Four other soldiers, also belonging to the 44th Infantry Battalion, were wounded in the encounter.
