THE Philippine Normal University (PNU) in Manila was recognized as one of the Top Performing Schools in the recent Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board for Professional Teachers last Sept. 24, 2023 in several testing centers, including in Bangkok, Thailand, according to PNU President Bert Tuga.

The award, given on Feb. 10, 2024, during the occasion of the Oath Taking Ceremony of the 77,777 freshly minted professional teachers at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), was received by PNU President Bert Tuga, PNU Vice President for Academics Marilyn Balagtas, and PNU College of Teacher Development dean Gladys Nivera.
