LAKAT, the artisanal handwoven sneaker brand made of pineapple fiber and Philippine cotton, has collaborated with three young international Filipino artists to produce art that you can wear — a pair of sneakers that's ethically sourced and locally produced.
Visionary young artists Garapata (Dex Fernandez), Liliana Manahan and Doktor Karayom were invited by Lakat to use their sustainable sneakers as a canvas for "wearable art." The result turns out to be the limited edition Lak+Art shoe series, which features each of their signature characters and distinctive artistic vision.
