Senate urged to pass expanded legal assistance bill for OFWs

A LAWMAKER on Saturday called on the Senate to pass the counterpart of a bill that would broaden the range of legal assistance for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

The House of Representatives earlier approved House Bill 9305, which seeks to amend Section 26 of Republic Act (RA) 8042 or the 'Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act of 1995.'
