Blue Eagles stop Warriors for first win in UAAP volley

MANILA, Philippines: Ateneo de Manila University recovered from a second-set setback against University of the East en route to a 25-16, 22-25, 25-15, 25-14 opening day win in the UAAP Season 86 men's volleyball tournament, Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

After taking the first set with ease, the Blue Eagles crumbled late in their close second set encounter as the Red Warriors leaned on Joshua Pozas, John Paul Mangahis, and Angelo Reyes to even the scores at 1-all.
