CHR recognizes legislators for supporting CHR Charter Bill

THE Commission on Human Rights (CHR) extended its heartfelt gratitude to legislators, who have tirelessly advocated for human rights in both the upper and lower chambers.

Several legislators have expressed their support for the CHR Charter Bill, which sought to strengthen, institutionalize and broaden the commission's mandate and capacity as the country's national human rights institution (NHRI), paving the way for the establishment of a National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) to further promote, protect and advocate for human rights works in the Philippines.
