MANILA, Philippines: Members of a coalition in the Philippines will join the Global Day of Action Against Genocide today, Saturday to highlight the ongoing plight of the people of Palestine who they said are subjected to relentless attacks and inhumane conditions.

Philippine-based social movements, trade unions, non-government organizations and political parties under Solidarity to Oppose Wars Coalition Philippines (Stop the War! Coalition-Philippines) will be staging various actions in Manila, parts of the Visayas and Mindanao 'to put needed weight on the clamor for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the West Bank.'
