MANILA, Philippines: Scattered light rains and thunderstorms will be experienced in most parts of the country due to the easterlies while a waning northeast monsoon or "amihan" will continue to affect the Batanes and Babuyan Islands, the state-run weather agency said on Friday.

In its 5 a.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said it has not monitored any tropical cyclone inside or outside the country's area of responsibility in the coming days.
