(UPDATE) FREQUENT consumption of ultra-processed food products increases the risk of developing multimorbidity, a combination of cancer and cardiometabolic diseases like heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney problems, the Healthy Philippines Alliance (HPA) warned.
The HPA, a network of civil society organizations working to prevent and control noncommunicable diseases, urged the public to refrain from eating too much unhealthy food to protect the heart.
