P50K pay for teachers sought

THE Makabayan bloc of lawmakers in the House of Representatives on Tuesday filed a bill that seeks to increase the minimum monthly salary of public school teachers to P50,000.

The explanatory note of House Bill (HB) 9920 said the Salary Standardization Law (SSL) was amended in 2020 for an adjustment.
