Marawi bombing mastermind slain

THE mastermind of the deadly bombing in Mindanao State University (MSU) in Marawi City last December 3 has died after a clash between members of a pro-Islamic State group and government troops, officials said Monday.

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) spokesman Col. Xerxes Trinidad said on Monday that Khadafi Mimbesa, also known as 'Engineer,' was wounded when soldiers stormed the group's lair in Piagapo town, Lanao del Sur.
