Make it 'rice over flowers' on Valentine's Day, says DA

MANILA, Philippines: The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Tuesday advised lovers to give rice instead of flowers to their significant others on Valentine's Day.

In a press briefing in Malacañang, Agriculture Undersecretary Roger Navarro claimed that flowers cannot be eaten.
