MANILA, Philippines: A magnitude 5.9 earthquake jolted Agusan Del Sur at about 11:22 a.m. on Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

The quake, tectonic in origin, was located west of Esperanza and has a depth of 27 kilometers.
