'Amihan' weakens; easterlies affecting most parts of PH

MANILA, Philippines: With the northeast monsoon locally known as 'amihan' weakening, the easterlies are affecting most parts of the archipelago, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Tuesday.

Weather specialist Rhea Torres said they have spotted cloud formations over Mindanao but which would unlikely develop into a low pressure area in the coming days. 'However, these cloud clusters are expected to bring rain in some parts of Mindanao,' the Pagasa forecaster said.
