'Konsulta' provides accessible health care

THE Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) continues to provide accessible health care through its Konsulta Package program, Dr. Mary Antonette Yason-Remonte, Project Management Team head for Primary Care of the agency, said on Tuesday.

"With the aging population, unhealthy lifestyle and climate change, there is emergence of non-communicable diseases like asthma, diabetes, hypertension and cancer, among others. Yet, there is still a high prevalence of infectious diseases, which results in changing the mandate to health care," Remonte said at the "Health Care is Wealth Care with Universal Wellness" forum hosted by The Manila Times.
