Group blames Duterte, Marcos for transport woes

MANILA, Philippines: Transport group Pagkakaisa ng mga Samahan ng Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (Piston) said the public should not ignore the conflict between President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his predecessor, Rodrigo Duterte, as they are both responsible for the problems in the transportation sector.

Piston said in a statement on Wednesday that Duterte was first behind the controversial Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) Modernization Program (PUVMP) and Marcos was being 'blind and deaf' to the transport sector, amid continuous strikes against the program.
