SMB dethrones Ginebra, secures 1st Finals spot

MANILA, Philippines: San Miguel Beer scored a three-game sweep after dethroning Barangay Ginebra, 94-91 in their PBA 48th Season Commissioner's Cup semifinals to book the first Finals seat on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

American import Bennie Boatwright fired 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, highlighting his efforts with six triples as the Beermen broke the hearts of the Gin Kings in Game 3 witnessed by 15,126 fans in the famed Pasay City arena.
