In describing San Miguel Beer this season, Barangay Ginebra coach Tim Cone believes the current Beermen side is an improved version of the so-called 'Death Five,' which in recent past included star center June Mar Fajardo, Arwind Santos, Alex Cabagnot, Marcio Lassiter and Chris Ross.

That star-studded San Miguel core produced at least eight PBA championships from the 2014-15 season through 2019.
