DEPARTMENT of Tourism (DoT) Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco has reaffirmed her support for the restoration of the country's historic sites, including the Manila Post Office.
Through its attached agency Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (Tieza), the DoT has allocated P15 million for Detailed Architectural and Engineering Studies (DAES) for the conservation evaluation and pre-restoration work of the Manila Central Post Office (MCPO) building, which was destroyed by a massive fire on May 22, 2023.
