PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday urged the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) to boost its support for athletes and "continue breaking barriers." The President said sports can be a "unifying force" in nation-building.

Speaking at the awarding of incentives for para-athletes who won medals in the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China, last year, Marcos told the PSC "to promote sports that are inclusive" while also "bringing into the fold those who are seen to be in the margins."
