Eala downs Hungarian foe to advance in India tourney

MANILA, Philippines: Just a day after winning in the women's doubles, Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala has won her first match in the women's singles event of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Necc-Deccan Women's Tennis Tournament in Pune, India.

Eala defeated Fanny Stollár of Hungary in the women's singles round of 32 on Wednesday in two sets 6-2, 6-2.
