A CHINA Coast Guard (CCG) ship shadowed two patrolling Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) vessels for two days in the West Philippine Sea less than a week after Manila and Beijing held talks to seek ways to improve maritime communication to prevent incidents that could worsen their sea dispute.
The incident was documented by maritime defense expert and retired United States Air Force Col. Raymond Powell, using the automatic tracking system (ATS), which provides information on the identification and positioning of vessels.
