Competition authority okays Sky Cable sale

PANGILINAN-LED PLDT Inc.'s planned acquisition of Lopez-owned Sky Cable Corp. has been approved by competition authorities, bringing the transaction a step closer to completion.

In disclosures on Monday, both companies said that the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) had greenlit the deal, announced in March last year, subject to closing conditions.
