Sri Lankan navy seizes 60 kg drugs

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka's navy confiscated two multiday trawlers transporting over 60 kg of drugs, suspected to be heroin, the navy said in a statement on Saturday.

The navy also arrested 11 suspects who were in the vessels in a Friday special operation in the southern sea, around 100 nautical miles off Dondra Point, the statement said.
