(UPDATE) PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed the Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) to standardize maritime operations and practices equal with global standards, Malacañang said Thursday.
In his meeting with Marina chief Sonia Malaluan on the Maritime Industry Development Plan (MIDP) 2028 in Malacañang on Wednesday, Marcos said a lot of Philippine maritime rules and operations are obsolete due to the absence of a unified system governing the industry.
