PH envoy in China summoned over Marcos post to Taiwan leader

MANILA, Philippines: THE Chinese Embassy in Manila has confirmed that its Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned Philippine Ambassador to Beijing Jaime FlorCruz over President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s congratulatory message to Taiwan's newly elected leader Lai Ching-te.

The embassy on Tuesday confirmed the statement of the Chinese foreign ministry spokesman that FlorCruz was summoned after Marcos said he was looking forward to working with Lai.
